Scott Martin began tournament fishing on the National Bass fishing trail in 1999 and was immediately on a hot streak. In his first year on the FLW Tour he earned the Co-Angler of the Year title. In 2000 he won his first national FLW Tour event netting $100,000 in only his second professional debut.
Scott has fished professionally on the FLW Tour for 15-years and is one of the winningest anglers to date and one of a select few that hold all of the FLW titles -- Tour Champion, Forrest Wood Cup Champion and Angler of the Year. His record includes six tournament wins, thirty-three top-10 finishes, fourteen FLW Cup appearances and an FLW Championship. He is currently #1 for FLW Tour earnings at just over $2.3 million and is tied for the most Tour victories.
With 15 FLW Championship qualifications, he has proven himself as one of fishing’s most decorated and consistent tournament anglers. Scott is currently ranked #2 in the world in on both BassFan.com and BassRankings.com.
In 2005 Scott launched his own television show -- the "Scott Martin Challenge" -- now into season eleven. The SMC is one of the highest-rated outdoor programs on-air today, reaching more than 400K viewing households each week. The SMC is a fast paced, high-quality fishing show shot in HD that has Scott fishing against some of the world’s best anglers in many unique destinations. Every show presents a new and exciting “challenge” that keeps viewers riveted to their screens.
When Scott’s not traveling the world fishing tournaments, hosting promotions, filming or guiding, he especially enjoys spending time with his family. Scott has been blessed with a wonderful wife (Suzanne) and four beautiful children (Jacob, Reed, Hilary and Amelia.) They spend time traveling and enjoying the outdoors together.
